PLANNING AND PROCUREMENT MANAGER – JHB

Position Type – Full Time

Department – Supply Chain

Role and Responsibilities:
Planning and organizing both long and short-term production plans. 
Overseeing the PS&OP process (Procurement, Sales & Operations Planning) 
Implementation and management of procurement policies and procedures 
Mitigating supply risks through securing multiple supply sources 
Negotiating prices with suppliers 
Maintaining SAP transactions in line with job requirements 
Decision-making and problem-solving will take up a great part of your day. 
Continuous engagement with the wider team on risks and plans to mitigate .
Optimization of raw material and finished goods stock holding.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:
Relevant experience in procurement and planning in a manufacturing environment.

Preferred Skills:
Demonstrated ability to think analytically and drive business agenda. 
Deep knowledge of the PS&OP process (Procurement, Sales, and Operations Planning) 
Experience in managing suppliers. 
Knowledge of performance evaluation and budgeting concepts 
Experience in reporting on key metrics 
Proficient in MS Office 
Proficient in SAP 
Outstanding communication ability 
Attention to detail. 
Strong decision-making skills and a results-driven approach
