Your job is to make sure that actually happens.

What you’ll really be doing

You’ll own your territory across Gauteng in the Local & Traditional Trade (Spaza, Corner Grocery Shop etc)

That means:

  • Getting the brand into new outlets (and making sure it stays there)
  • Driving visibility — shelf space, coolers, displays, POS
  • Executing campaigns and promotions in market
  • Working closely with distributors and making sure they deliver
  • Training and coaching merchandisers and reps
  • Feeding real, useful market insight back into the business

This role lives in the detail — execution, visibility, and consistency.

Because in this game, if it’s not on shelf… it doesn’t exist. 

What success looks like

  • More outlets
  • Better visibility
  • Stronger relationships
  • Consistent execution

Simple. But not easy.

You’ll be negotiating space, influencing store owners, and making sure the brand stands out every single day. 

Who this suits

You’ve probably:

  • Worked in FMCG (ideally beverages)
  • Been in the field — not just head office
  • Built relationships in local and traditional trade
  • Had to hit targets without being chased

And you are:

  • High energy (this matters here)
  • Resilient – you don’t carry yesterday’s “no” into today
  • Commercially aware – you know what drives sales
  • Self-driven – no one needs to micromanage you
