COMMERICAL QUALITY MANAGER (SA & AFRICAN EXPANSION MARKETS – REF5890
Reports directly into the Regional Quality Director for the Africa & Middle East (AME) region, with five direct reports. Works with internal and external stakeholders, including the South African Leadership team, Supply, Marketing, Sales, R&D, and Regulatory departments, in the Pharmaceutical, Health, and Hygiene categories. Part of the Senior Leadership team (Exco/Manco for HORA). Key responsibilities include overseeing compliance with global and local regulatory quality standards within South African commercial business units, external manufacturing organizations (EMOs), embellishers, and distribution centers across South Africa and African expansion markets. Manages the team responsible for maintaining a robust Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with the company’s standards throughout the product lifecycle. The role also includes qualifying EMOs and DCs against the company’s requirements, leading investigations into non-conformances and critical quality incidents, and managing Critical Events Processes (CEPs). Responsible for ensuring that imported products meet quality and regulatory standards before market release, managing the customer and consumer complaints process, overseeing change management, and ensuring that GxP systems and processes are validated. Implement and manage the annual budget for the Quality team and drive initiatives to maintain a culture of quality within the business unit. Projects and achievements include being awarded Business Partner of the Year in 2022, the Year-End Award for Strive for Excellence in 2021, and the Star Award for Q2 in 2021.
